Alex Westerband, MD, MBA, RPhS, FACS

Dr. Alex Westerband, a distinguished vascular surgeon and educator, has made significant contributions to surgical research and medical education at the University of Arizona and now serves as a Professor of Clinical Specialty at the Arizona State University School of Medicine and Medical Engineering. Throughout his career, he has pioneered endovascular management programs, authored more than forty publications, and participated in numerous clinical trials.

He is also deeply committed to education and global health, contributing to medical training programs in Haiti. Dr. Westerband’s work reflects his dedication to innovation, research, and improving vascular health within communities. His latest endeavor, VVAS, is a specialized clinic focused exclusively on cosmetic procedures for spider veins, utilizing advanced treatments such as surface laser therapy, VeinGogh, and sclerotherapy. Through VVAS, he brings aesthetic solutions to an often-neglected area of care, helping enhance self-esteem and overall quality of life.
